From IT innovator to supply chain leader, Sashi Chandrasekharan is helping RIX Industries align its technology, operations, and culture for ambitious growth.
When Sashi joined RIX, it wasn’t just another career step—it was a conscious decision to join a company with the heart to invest in its future. With over 25 years in IT, digital transformation, and operations leadership, he has a proven record of solving complex problems and building high-performing teams.
“I’m not a technology-for-technology’s-sake kind of leader. It has to be practical. It has to help the organization.”
Transforming Supply Chain
Initially hired as CIO, Sashi soon took on leadership of RIX’s supply chain. He reorganized it from a fragmented procurement function into a unified operation covering demand planning, strategic sourcing, procurement, and logistics—creating end-to-end accountability. The result: stronger supplier partnerships, improved delivery performance, and a leadership pipeline ready for the next 15–20 years.
Driving Digital Transformation
Sashi’s IT focus is closing the gap between people, processes, and systems. By addressing 50+ ERP and process gaps and implementing a data strategy, RIX is moving toward real-time, dashboard-driven decision-making across the business.
“If I accept mediocrity, mediocrity will remain. I set the standard, and I support my teams in meeting it.”
Leadership Philosophy
He believes in empowerment, clarity, and accountability—mirroring RIX’s values of Ethics, Safety, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability. Sashi fosters an environment where teams feel safe to try, fail, and learn, while staying focused on delivering results.
Focused on the Future
For Sashi, the company tagline is personal. “Growth is the best medicine,” he says. “It solves problems, creates opportunities, and keeps us moving forward. With the right team and mindset, there’s no reason we can’t double or triple in size.”
Outside of work, Sashi enjoys cooking, painting, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two sons.
