Autodesk Navisworks: BIM Review, Clash Detection, and 4D Simulation

Autodesk Navisworks Manage is project review software for BIM. Teams combine models from Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other tools into one federated model. They use it to find clashes before construction, simulate the schedule, and take off quantities. Navisworks Manage is included in the AEC Collection. Navisworks also comes as Navisworks Simulate (no clash detection) and Navisworks Freedom (a free viewer).

Navisworks Simulate

Navisworks Simulate is for teams that review models, plan construction schedules, and take off quantities, but don't run clash detection. It's sold as its own subscription and isn't included in the AEC Collection. If you later need clash detection, choose Navisworks Manage.

Navisworks Freedom (Free Viewer)

Navisworks Freedom is Autodesk's free viewer for NWD and DWF files. Use it to open models that a Navisworks Manage or Simulate user has shared with you. It can't edit models, run clash detection, or run simulations. Download Navisworks Freedom from Autodesk
