Course
Overview:
Students use Revit® Architecture to
learn about building information modeling and the tools for parametric
building design and documentation. Students begin the three-day course by
learning the fundamental features of Revit Architecture, and then
progressing through schematic design and construction documentation, before
finishing with design visualization. Students should be able to complete
their first Revit Architecture project after completing this course. This
courseware offers both imperial and metric hands-on exercises representing
real-world design scenarios.
After completing this course, you
will be able to:
-
Describe building
information modeling, bidirectional associativity and parametric
relationships in Revit
-
Describe the user
interface and explain parametric objects and families
-
Create a basic floor
plan and work with levels and grids
-
Edit and modify walls
and compound walls using editing commands, and work with doors and
windows
-
Add and modify
component families
-
Duplicate and mange
views, control object visibility in views, and create elevations,
sections and 3D views
-
Create floors and
ceilings, add roofs and curtain walls and work with stairs and railings
in a building model
