This hands-on course covers the engineering tasks on residential grading design. Your instructor will guide you through one possible grading design process from examination of existing site conditions to a final grading solution. The primary focus of the class is to teach engineers how AutoCAD Civil 3D can be used as a tool to perform common engineering tasks in the grading process more accurately and in less time.

Upon completion of the course, you will be able to:

Examine existing site conditions
Create and grade detention basins
Design roadway grading
Calculate and balance earthwork volumes
Grade rear-yard swales and open areas
Revise and finalize the grading design
Render, label and annotate the design
