Training Cancellation Policy: Registrations cancelled more than 7 days prior to a class are fully refundable. Registrations cancelled within 7 days prior to a class, including no-shows, are not refundable; however, 50% of the fees paid may be credited toward registration for a future or rescheduled class. If we cancel a class for any reason, you will receive, at your option, either a full refund of fees paid or full credit for fees if paid toward registration in any future class offered.

This hands-on course covers the engineering tasks on residential grading design. Your instructor will guide you through one possible grading design process from examination of existing site conditions to a final grading solution. The primary focus of the class is to teach engineers how AutoCAD Civil 3D can be used as a tool to perform common engineering tasks in the grading process more accurately and in less time.
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to:
- Examine existing site conditions
- Create and grade detention basins
- Design roadway grading
- Calculate and balance earthwork volumes
- Grade rear-yard swales and open areas
- Revise and finalize the grading design
- Render, label and annotate the design
