Registrations cancelled more than 7 days prior to a class are fully refundable.

Registrations cancelled within 7 days prior to a class, including no-shows, are not refundable; however, 50% of the fees paid may be credited toward registration for a future or rescheduled class.

If we cancel a class for any reason, you will receive, at your option, either a full refund of fees paid or full credit for fees if paid toward registration in any future class offered.

Prerequisite: Completed the Civil 3D New User class or have in-depth knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D software

This hands-on course covers the engineering tasks on residential grading design. Your instructor will guide you through one possible grading design process from examination of existing site conditions to a final grading solution. The primary focus of the class is to teach engineers how AutoCAD Civil 3D can be used as a tool to perform common engineering tasks in the grading process more accurately and in less time.

Upon completion of the course, you will be able to:

  • Examine existing site conditions
  • Create and grade detention basins
  • Design roadway grading
  • Calculate and balance earthwork volumes
  • Grade rear-yard swales and open areas
  • Revise and finalize the grading design
  • Render, label and annotate the design
