Course Details

Prerequisites: None.  Class will focus on overview of Autodesk VIZ with emphasis on modeling, materials, and lighting. 

Time:  

8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Length: Three days
Customized Fee: Applicable per day pricing
AIA Continuing Credit Hours: 20 hrs.

After completing this class you will be able to:

  • Navigate the user interface
  • Create and modify primitive objects and 2D shapes utilizing mesh and spline modifiers and compound objects.
  • Use sub-object manipulation in applying modifiers.
  • Import AutoCAD geometry into VIZ using a variety of different ways
  • Organize your scenes based on layers, scene states, xRefs, and display parameters.
  • Apply bitmaps (including logo application) to your objects and manipulate the mapping properties.
  • Create your own materials and understand the basics of material editing.
  • Apply standard and photometric lights.
  • Render with the default scanline engine, mental ray engine, and radiosity.
  • Apply animation through keyframing and manipulate your animation in Trackview.
     

Customized training will be conducted by Joy Voltenburg, Autodesk Certified Instructor for 3ds Max. 

 

Training Cancellation Policy:

Registrations cancelled more than 7 days prior to a class are fully refundable.

Registrations cancelled within 7 days prior to a class, including no-shows, are not refundable; however, 50% of the fees paid may be credited toward registration for a future or rescheduled class.

If we cancel a class for any reason, you will receive, at your option, either a full refund of fees paid or full credit for fees if paid toward registration in any future class offered.
