Autodesk® MapGuide® Enterprise 2010

Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise software is a powerful mapping platform for delivering CAD and GIS information quickly, easily, and cost-effectively via the web. Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise helps to maximize the value of design and spatial data by enabling information sharing with customers and internal teams, as well as integrating with enterprise applications. Based on MapGuide Open Source, Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise harnesses the innovation of a broad community of developers, backed by Autodesk quality assurance and support. Simple to develop and deploy, Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise provides a powerful API for creating spatial applications, support for multiple development environments and direct connectivity to a wide range of data types, which helps provide easy access to information organization-wide.

What’s New

• Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2010 includes several performance improvements such as better Oracle database connectivity, faster loading of the flexible web layouts framework, quicker selection processing, multiple raster file connections, as well as improved stability.
• Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2010 incorporates on-the-fly reprojection of raster content from the source coordinate system to the map coordinate system.
• Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2010 enables users to determine the geometry symbol preview icons displayed in the legend.
• New Feature Data Object (FDO) providers are available for use with Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2010, including the FDO provider for Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 Spatial and GE Energy Smallworld.
• Error reporting has been improved, as has resource repository management.

Autodesk MapGuide Studio Updates

• Autodesk MapGuide^® Studio 2010 software is available as a free* download from the Autodesk^® Subscription Center for Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise customers. Autodesk MapGuide Studio 2010 software is also available on the Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2010 DVD. Customers now have easy access to one or more copies of the Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise authoring tool without additional cost.

Open Source Integration

• Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2010 includes new developments from the OSGeo community. The OpenLayers JavaScripting library can use MapGuide Open Source and Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise as a map data source, providing users a client-side scripting toolkit to create richer client-side interactions such as:

  • Client-side redlining tools
  • Use of multiple map data sources
  • Markers and popup windows

The single-step publishing tool in AutoCAD Map 3D software enables users to publish content directly to Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise software, resulting in instant web access to the data.

Autodesk MapGuide Studio software comes with several Flexible Web Layout templates.
