Creating and Changing Project Specs Utilizing the Spec Editor

This online presentation of AutoCAD® Plant 3D 2011 takes you into the Spec Editor to review the features and functionality available to create custom Specs and Catalogs to fit specific project requirements.  We will discuss various methods that can be used to create new specs and catalogs and how to quickly change the information contained in both using Microsoft Excel. Lastly, we will show an example of how to convert a 3D block into a plant component, add it to the catalog, and determine if an actuator is required. If so, the steps needed to add the appropriate actuator will be shown.
