This one day course will focus on the Revit®
building model and its interpretation within
Green Building Studio during the schematic design phase with the purpose
of reaching a desired level of carbon neutrality during the lifecycle of the
building.
Participants will be introduced to the idiosyncrasies of
3D modeling in Revit® as they pertain to Whole Building Energy
Analysis including best practice design approximation, site orientation,
choice of families and how to go beyond "out of the box" solutions.
The hands-on Test Drive approach will attempt to demystify
the vast amount of information that has to be part of a BIM compliant model
for successful comparative energy analysis within the context of informed
schematic design.
This seminar is designed for everyone involved in the BIM
process with Revit® tools, from the casual to the experienced
user.
