BlueCielo Publisher

Engineering content is in continuous change. Drawings, data, technical asset information, related files and other documents are created, updated, reviewed, released, revised and archived. At certain points in their lifecycle, engineering documents must be handed over to other departments within the organization or to stakeholders outside the organization. In many companies this is a cumbersome, manual or unstructured process.

The BlueCielo Publisher offers the capability to render documents from various source content management systems and publish them into the same or another destination system. In the destination system, metadata can be published along with the (optionally rendered) file. If the properties in the destination system have different names, the properties can be mapped with to the property names of the source system.

Key Capabilities

Publish Content

Automatically send engineering data (files and metadata) to other content management systems and optionally convert the files to another format within the process. Properties from source system can be mapped with the appropriate ones in the target system.

Source & Target Systems

Freely combine various source and target content management systems per publish job. The source and target system can be the same system or two different systems.

Render Engineering Data

The set of engineering data can consist of many different file types, which many users cannot handle in their system. Conversion (rendering) to PDF makes the data available to much more users who need the data within their own business processes. Over 200 file formats can be rendered to PDF, consisting of Office, Raster, 2D and 3D CAD files. The quality of the PDF renditions can be fully controlled by use of the native application within the publish process.

Enhance Renditions

After conversion the PDF files can be post processed, either by merging multiple PDF’s or through adding watermarks, e-Signatures or digital print stamps. Each PDF can also include a second page with all the approvals the document got during the workflow in the source system.

Manage Publishing Process

All publish jobs are configured through the Publish Console, which also gives application managers remote access to manage the execution of all Publish jobs. Publish jobs can be scheduled or executed immediately at demand (near real time). Many publish jobs be executed by adding multiple application servers within the network architecture.
