Features
SuperSaver - The CADD Standards Autodesk forgot
- Standard Options: Audit Drawing on Close,
Activate Model Space on Drawing Close, Zoom Extents on Drawing Close, Set
Current Layer to Layer 0 on Close, Set Current DimStyle to Standard on
Close, Set Current Test Style to Standard on Close. Plus Advanced Options
that allow you to Restore AutoCAD Default or Office Standards Variables.
Support Dialogue
- Links to email and web site work from inside AutoCAD.
Dynamic Layer
Tools - puts the most popular layer tasks at your fingertips. The
floating command panel allows you to draw and make rapid layer changes
without fumbling through complex toolbars or menus. The roll-up dialog can
be configured to take up a
minimal amount of space and reconfigured with a simple click of the mouse.
Contains all of your favorite commands for toggling on/off, freezing and
thawing.
Dynamic Filter
Tool - helps you find groupings of different layers based on similarity
of name or other search parameters. With one click, the layers matching the
filter can be toggled on and off. With another click, your Dynamic Layer
Filters are saved and can be applied to any drawing. There is no complex
import and export routine, your preferences are immediately available to any
drawing.
Layer States
- are now quicker and simpler to use. Any screen layout can quickly be
captured and saved with the drawing with a simple click of the button.
You’ll even have faster access to previously saved layer states with the
quick-select drop down.
Isolate - a
layer and then toggle all other layers on or off, with one click. The
settings remain active during your entire drawing session, so you can move
back and forth between layers faster than ever.
Move Hatch -
Moves an existing hatch pattern within its existing boundary. This cannot be
done by any AutoCAD process, other than erasing and redrawing the pattern
after resetting several system variables.
Rotate Hatch
- Rotates existing hatch patterns based on screen selection points. This can
only be done by typing in a numeric angle in AutoCAD and requires the user
to perform several inquiry operations before updating the hatch.
Enhanced Hatch
- The user defined hatch can only produce parallel lines or a square
grid. Many features of the user defined hatch have not been exposed to the
end user. Manipulation of the DFX code allows for rectangular patterns,
diamond shaped patterns and other possibilities.
Rename Block
- Select and rename a block directly on the screen.
MTextFormatter
- MText Objects - particularly those using custom *.SHX fonts - contain
formatting overrides which cannot be removed simply by updating the defined
style. The user selects a group of MText and then selects which format
options should be removed. Version 2 of this program would also allow
formatting, such as Bold or Underline to be added back into MText objects.
RenameXref -
Allows users to select and rename an Xref directly on-screen.
Make Block Unique
- A new, unique block is created from an existing block by selecting it
directly on the screen. This increases the usability of on-screen block
editing.
Rename Object
Layer - Allows Users to select and rename an objects layer directly
on-screen.
Right-Click Layer
Tools - This is an improvement on the Autodesk Express Tools since it
does not require a typed in command or nested menu pick.
The StepSaver
Plot Repair Tool - eliminates annoying error messages when there is a
missing plotter definition or color table. Simply enable your desired plot
repair options and your current default plotter and color table are
instantly substituted anytime you open a drawing.
View
Project
- Users can project two dimensional top and side views simply by entering
their material thickness and selecting geometry defining the front view of a
part, thus eliminating the tedium of manually creating each orthogonal
view. In addition, you can project parts with draft.
Dimension Verification -
If you are using AutoCAD in
conjunction with a CAM system, or if you are received AutoCAD files from
outside suppliers or contractors, this is a
valuable function. The Check Dimensions tool will scan your
entire drawing and flag all out-of-scale dimensions (where dimension values
do not match the geometry). Out-of scale dimensions or geometry can then be
corrected before downloading to a CAM system. This feature alone can save
thousands of dollars in scrapped and reworked parts.
Detail
Magnify - Magnified views of
intricate geometry can be created by simply defining the area to be blown
up, specifying a scale factor for the new magnified view and locating a view
placement point. The magnified view is automatically created and placed.
Mechanical Detailing -
Sections arrows are easily
created by selecting an existing polyline to define the location, defining
the direction for the section arrows to point and typing in a view label.
This entire process is performed in one operation. Section breaks lines as
well as break lines for round parts are included.
